HISTORY
The B.C Cell of Kakatiya University was started in July 2007 for the benefit of BC students, research scholars and employees (teaching and non- teaching)
VISION
The vision of the BC Cell is to unite all the Backward Classes Students, Scholars, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff and to build the University for the Center of Excellence and their Own Career.
MISSION
The Mission of the Cell is to construct an Environment for Political, Religious, Social Justice, Economic, Democracy and Equality among all Backward Classes Fraternity.
OBJECTIVES OF B.C. CELL
- To undertake all activities within the scope of the University system towards implementing constitutional provisions, state laws, government orders and other relevant procedures concerning the welfare of BC students and employees of the University.
- To initiate necessary steps in monitoring the implementation of BC reservations in admissions in colleges (including affiliated colleges), staff selections, appointments (specially to monitor rosters and backlogs) nominations etc. in the University.
- To act as grievance cell to receive complaints and take necessary action towards reddressal of the same
- To promote awareness amongst the students regarding the constitutional and other safeguards, welfare provisions, scholarships, concessions etc.
- To organize lectures, seminars, workshops, study groups on various issues and problems relating to the BC students.

PROGRAMMES ORGANIZED:
04-01-2017: A round table meeting was organized at SDLCE, to discuss about allotment of BC Sub-plan grants, by state government of Telangana.
10-03-2017: on the eve of Smt. Savithribai Phule vardhanthi Elocution and Essay writing competitions were conducted for Girl students.
11-04-2017: on the eve of Sri Jyothirao Phule Jayanthi an invited lecture was organized Prof.S.Simhadri Retd. Professor of Osmania University delivered a key note on DEVELOPMENT OF BACKWARD CLASSES-PHULE VISION.
10-03-2018: on the eve of Savithribai Phule- Vardahnti an invited lecture was organized, Prof. Girija Professor of Osmania University delivered a key note on SAVITHRIBAI PHULE- THE MOTHER OF MODERN GIRL EDUCATION.
11-04-2018: on the eve of Sri Jyothirao Phule Jayanthi an invited lecture was organized, Prof.Adapa Satyanarayana delivered a key note address on the Jyothiro Rao Phule.
27-09-2018: on the eve of Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji Jayanthi an invited lecture was organized, Retd. Justice V.Eswaraiah Ex Chairman, central BC commission delivered a key note address on BC RESERVATION.
03-01-2020: on the eve of Savithribai phule- Jayanthi an invited lecture was organized on NETI BAHUJANA SREEVAADHA UDYAMAM- SAVITHRIBAI PHULE, Sri. B.S.Ramulu Chairman BC commission, Telangana State was the chief guest and Dr.G.Laxmi Narsaiah Poet, critic delivered a key note address.
26-09-2021: on the eve of Smt Chakali Ilamma Jayanthi invited lecture was organized Prof.K.ViJaya babu has delivered a key note address on CHAKALI ILAMMA –TELANGA SAYUDA PORATA YOUDHURALU, Prof. T. Ramesh Vice-Chancellor, Kakatiya University, was the Chief guest of the function and about 75 students were participated
27-09-2021: on the eve of Sri konda Laxman Bapuji Jayanthi invited lecture was organized and Prof. Pillamarri Ramulu, University of Hyderabad delivered a key note address.
03-01-2022: on the eve of Savithribai, phule- Jayanthi an invited lecture was organized Prof. Guduru Manoja delivered a key note address on SAVITHRIBAI PHULE- SAAMAAJIKA CHAITANYAM.
11th and 12 of March 2022: A two day work shop was organized on BC. ASTHITHVA SAHITHYAM- SAMALOCHANA Dr. G,Laxmi Narsaiah Poet, delivered key note address on this occasion and Vakulabaranam Krishna Mohan chairman BC commission, Telangana State attended for valedictory function.
11-04-2022: on the eve of Jyothi Rao Phule- Jayanthi an invited lecture was organized Prof. I. Thirumali delivered a key note address on GANATHANTRA BARATHADESHAM- SAMAJIKA NYAAYAM
03-01-2023: on the eve of Savithribai, phule- Jayanthi an invited lecture was organized Dr.V.Rama of NIT Warangal delivered a key note address on Savithribai Phule and her vision.
