About the Office of the Dean, Student Affairs

Established in 2025, the Office of the Dean, Student Affairs at Kakatiya University serves as the central hub for coordinating student-centric activities, fostering holistic development, and promoting a vibrant, inclusive campus culture. The office works in close collaboration with academic departments, administrative units, and student development centres to ensure that every student receives comprehensive support throughout their university journey.

Our Mission

To empower students through academic enrichment, leadership cultivation, wellness initiatives, and ethical engagement—creating a dynamic environment where learning, creativity, and social responsibility thrive.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Academic Support: Organizing seminars, workshops, mentoring sessions, and career readiness programs through units like the Career & Counselling Cell, NET Cell, and Competitive Examination Coaching Centre.
  • Cultural & Wellness Promotion: Enhancing physical and mental well-being via the Sports Board, Yoga Centre, and University Health Centre, while celebrating diversity through cultural studies centres.
  • Leadership & Social Responsibility: Instilling civic values and leadership through the NSS Unit, Gandhian and Ambedkar Studies Centres, and the Centre for Women’s Studies.
  • Campus Harmony & Welfare: Ensuring safety, discipline, and inclusivity through grievance redressal, anti-ragging measures, and hostel welfare coordination.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Facilitating partnerships with industry and international institutions via the University–Industry Linkage Cell and CFRAC, and aligning student initiatives with the university’s strategic goals.
