The entrance test for admission into MBA/MCA courses TS-ICET 2017 would be held on 18th May, 2017 from 10 am to 12.30 pm. TS-ICET2017 Chairman and University Vice-Chancellor Prof. R. Sayanna addressing a press conference said that as many as 77,308 students have registered so far and still students have an opportunity to apply till 8th May  with a late fee of Rs. 5,000 and  14th May, 2017 with a late fee of Rs. 10,000. The test would be conducted at 132 centres under 16 regional centres, he said. He observed that there is an increase of 4834 applications this year compared to that of last year. This year, candidates would be allowed into test  centres by 8.30 am  for taking  biometric attendance, he said. He advised the candidates to bring the down-loaded Hall Ticket, copy of their online application form and blue/black ball point pen only into the examination hall and not to bring any electronic gadgets.  He reiterated that one minute condition would be followed strictly and no student would be allowed into the hall after 10 am. Convener K. Omprakash said that all the arrangements have been made to conduct the test under the supervision of 132 chief superintendants, 33 special  and 150 local observers. As per last year statistics, there are 283 MBA and 52  MCA colleges with an intake of 28,174 and 2,334 seats respectively and the number of seats are likely to decrease, said Prof. K. Omprakash.  University Registrar prof. M.V. Ranga Rao was also present on the occasion.
