Facilities:

The Department of Library and Information Science, KU,Wgl, was

established in the year 2004. Since its inception the department is serving the cause of promotion of Library and Information Science education in the backward region of Telangana. Presently, the department is offering M.Lib.I.Sc course (regular mode) with intake of 35 students.

The Department  has been updating the Syllabus from time to time to meet

to  current requirements. 

More than 400 students have pursued M.Lib.I.Sc. course from Department

of Library and Information Science,  KU, Wgl, and many have qualified UGC-

NET, JRF, SET/SLET and students have got in to Jobs in National Institutes, Government Organisations.

Infrastructure:

i) Building: The Department is on University Campus.

ii) Computer Lab:  Computer Lab with computers connected with high speed internet facilities.

iii) Department Library:  500 books on various topics covered on Library & Inf. Science

iv) Computers for faculty and one computer for office use are connected with high speed internet facilities.

The department has strong support of Alumni.
