Central Instrumentation Centre was established in the year 1979.The main objective of this Central Instrumentation Centre is to provide testing and analytical services to students, teachers and scientists in this backwardregion of Telangana. Analytical Services were provided with sophisticated electronic instruments procured under various plan periods. In order to operate the equipment and provide the required analytical services, University Grants Commission has permitted the appointment of four qualified staffmembers with Lecturers Grade in the centre under USIC (University Science Instrumentation Centre). Consequently the university appointed the following staff members. With time and prolonged usage, some of the sophisticated instruments faced aging and due to non availability of spares and revolutionary improvements in technology they had to be replaced with new equipment with higher configurations and PC based. Three of the basic tools for chemical analysis, Viz.,UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, Infra Red Spectrophotometer and Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer were replaced on a buy back basis. Later some more equipment was added for meeting the research needs. At present the equipment available and their working status is given separately.
