Political Ideologies:

Objectives:

  1. To understand different major Political Ideologies
  2. To study the Political Philosophies of great National Leaders of India
  3. To analyze the visions of National Leaders on different aspects of the given societies
  4. To examine the relevance of the Political Ideologies of National Leaders

State/Government & Politics:

Objectives:

  1. To assess the successive governments and their role in transforming the society
  2. To analyze the visions and performance of successive governments in the given society
  3. To examine the power politics and welfare politics of successive governments in Indian society

Ethnic Politics:

In this head, Department has been taken different issues related to Caste, Tribe, culture, Gender in terms of politics

Objectives:

  1. To study the role of Caste in Indian Political System
  2. To analyze the Tribal Political Activism in Electoral Politics
  3. To examine the participation of minorities in Politics
  4. To assess the  activism and participation of women in Electoral Politics of India

 Social Movements and Politics:

      In this head, Department has been taken different issues related to Social, Political, Economic, Cultural and Identity and Environmental movements.

Objectives:

  1. To study the  Political Movements in Indian sub-continent in general Regional Movements in Particular
  2. To assess the Environmental Movements  of different Non-Governmental Organizations and Activists
  3. To analyze the different  Rights movements of different social sections in Indian Political system
  4. To understand the Identity and Assertive Movements of different social sections of the Indian society
  5. To understand the Economic movements of different social sections and organizations in Indian Political system  

Public Policy, Governance and Politics:

In this head, Department has been taking research on different Public Policies related to Protection of weaker sections, Promotion of welfare measures, Developmental Policies to different sectors of the Indian Political system.

Objectives:

  1. To study the different Public policies of successive governments in Indian Political system
  2. To understand the Politics of Public Policies of successive governments in Indian Political system
  3. To assess the promotion and protective Policies against different weaker sections of the Indian society
  4. To examine the developmental policies of Indian Political economy
  5. To understand the public policies and Political Activism among different sections of Indian society

Electoral Studies

Objectives:

  1. To understand the Electoral process  in Indian Political System
  2. To analyze the ideologies and performance of the Political Parties in Indian Political system
  3. To examine the performance of Political Parties in Electoral Politics
  4. To study the Political Activism of different social and cultural Groups and Economic Organizations in Indian political system

International Relations:

Objectives:

  1. To study the international relations in Asian continent and  western societies
  2. To understand the status and role performance of India in world Politics
  3. To examine the Foreign policies of successive governments of India with world political scenario
  4. To analyze the role performance of India with Non-Align Movement Policy with world political scenario
  5. To assess the role performance of India in War Politics and Global Politics

Comparative Politics:

Objectives:

  1. To understand the different political systems of the world Nations
  2. To analyze the different types of governments of world Nations
  3. To study the performance of the different Governments of world nations
  4. To assess the Political Activism among the countries of the  Indian sub-continent

 

Faculty of Political Science department is actively engaged in research in the above thrust areas and published good number of research papers in reputed journals.
